Biodynamic Massage is a mindful massage. It helps you to understand how your body deal with unresolved issues. And how it can affect your health.
This massage is one of the therapies used in Body psychotherapy. It can also be practiced as a separate therapy. Biodynamic massage recognises a connection between repressed emotions and physical health. It is a therapy designed to help you to release tension in your body and to let go of unprocessed emotions.
Biodynamic massage works with a range of techniques which aims to help you let go of tensions and connect with your body. It is a mindful massage. It allows you to know more of what goes on in your body. And make it you aware of how unresolved issues affect your body.
Biodynamic massage was invented by a Norwegian scientist in the 1950s, Gerda Boyesen. Gerda discovered we dispose energy through the digestive track. Just like we dispose mater and gas too. Unresolved emotions do not exit your body. They stay. These form emotional blocks that manifest in your body. Forming tensions in your body.
The main intent of biodynamic massage is to help you losen up tension in your body body. We place a stethoscope in your lower abdomen. And so we can hear your digestive track releasing tensions. It is a great way to get feedback and it also helps me to guide the massage.
In the first session I will invite you to say a little about your life and medical history. Don’t worry, all consultations are strictly confidential. There are no oils or ointments involved. You don’t have to get undressed. I normally place a stethoscope on your tummy to hear your tummy rumblings.
It is very likely you may feel some benefit from one session. However, in reality, a sustained shift is only possible with regular sessions over a period of months. Click here to discuss the amount of sessions needed.
